You can test the pump in a sink or bathtub. You don't need a sealed loop to test. Be sure to clean everything out thoroughly before assembling.

I already ordered the parts through koolance.com. also how do you test in a tub? remember my pump and tank are one component in a 5.25 bay. it will be difficult as there is a lot of exposed electrical.

I dont understand what you mean by using a bathtub? are you referring to submerging?

Fill a tub or sink and put the inlet tube into the water. Let the other tube spray the water back in the tub or a sink, bowl, etc. Just be extremely careful. Don't electrocute yourself. You could also do the same thing with a few big bowls on the table or something.
