600T Limited edition

So in the next few weeks i'll be paid and looking to do my first build, I'm pretty sure about most parts apart from Mobo, but this topic is specifically about airflow for the Corsair 600T Limited Edition.

I'm not sure if limited edition is the correct term, but i'm referring to this or another site this, basically the one with the side intake for 4 120mm fans.

My idea is basically that i'll be putting 4 fans in and running them low for quiet, but to keep air flowing in rather than a covered side panel / window. The other fans would be the front intake, roof exhaust with h100, stock fans for the moment, and exhaust out the back.

This would obviously be a positive air flow, with intake far exceeding exhaust, however my question is: Is it too much intake to exhaust ratio? Will it cause issues or is this perfectly fine to do?

that many fans in the side earns you your n0000b badge....

4 fans on the side panel? All that's really going to do is suck in a shit ton of dust, defo not a good idea. Stick with a nice clear window. The airflow in that case is very good as it is.

That's fine because i'd prefer to be called a noob and not have my pc die from overheating like the one i had a few years ago.

If however as you say petrol it's going to cause dust issues (i was going to put filters on it) i'll stay away, but im kind of wondering why it's there if it's useless.

Some people have stinking hot multi GPU setups and like to give them direct cooling through the side panel when running them on air. The majority of the time though side panel fans are pretty pointless, all they do is turbo charge dust into the case, unless it has a filter of course, but the majority of cases don't have side panel dust filters.

Ok thank you for the help guys, it's just i'm rather paranoid about cooling due to my previous pc.

It was a custom build made by a tech shop back when i was 15 (20 this week) that had about 4 overheating issues before i finally gave up with it, and started using my laptop for day to day stuff. This build will be my first, and so if i spend £200 on cooling and peace of mind i will, even if i could get away with 80% less.

I will use the window instead then, i'm none too fussed about internal aesthetics but a window will be nice either way.

Once again thanks, feel free to lock thread.

Budget is about £1000-£1300 Depending (will know in 2 weeks odd).

i5-2500k

2 GTX 570's (1 then add another later)

Thinking long term, an SSD, WD Black + Large WD green data drive.

8GB Ram initially

I was thinking h100, maybe just an air cooler though...

That case has very good cooling as it is. Even when you use sli/xfire set ups with 3party coolers on its not getting hot. Id say try it our first and add more fans later if you think its not good enough.
