Have done several Work units and this is all I am getting out of my 5850...

Why is that? Is this normal? A similar performing GTX460 gets over 10,000 PPD.

ATI cards dont fold for shizz lol

they dont have shaders mate

even a 5970 did the same as a 460 lol and that was Just

Download the v7 client and try that. It has updated ATI support and a new core...I think you get around 7-8k ppd with that.

Unfortunatly at this time there is no direct way, what you can do is enter the Project number and the Estimated TPF into an online calculator.

the 3rd Party developers are currently working on a solution like FahMon and HFM.net for the v7 client.

Its more down to immature software not taking advantage of what the cards have to offer which is the problem & not the cards themselves.

Its taking the exact same time to comeplete 1% as it did before of 2 minutes 8 seconds. no difference so around 3,500PPD

Have you tried the V7 Beta?

I just installed it and set it to work use FahCore 16 instead of FahCore 11, and now it reports an estimated PPD of 7,3k and 7,1k on my 5850's

I tried the GPU Tracker V2 some time ago, it gave me horrible PPD, even lower than what you got, but this new client works perfect!

I googled to download the V7 beta, and used this guide to set up the FahCore 16:

set it was core16 now it wont fold. Has several attempts and keeps attempting to start the WU the attempts aren't successful.

Okay installed it and re-booted. I am getting somewhere but now it runs for about 10 seconds then says "Waiting for: FahCore Update" then shortly after that "FAILED".
