5770 worth WCing?

I've got a MSI HAWK 5770 the reason I bought that card is got it is the best 5770 (having researched) for OC'ing and cooling. I may at some point get another one if it will improve performance by 50% at least, don't know. The reason your GPU is overheating is because your cooling is failing it I suspect.

Have you tried reseating it with new paste and thermal pads? My 8800GT used to run at 65C, now it runs at 45C idle and I can overclock now. Also, water cooling it would be wasteful.

if you want to buy now get 5870 instead £180ish on overclockers.co.uk at the moment although u do have the size problem, maybe you should wait it out

All 3 that I have had had the same problem.... And it is the memory that is trouble.

I can run GPU at full but the max for the memory is 900MHz...
