Thats the official release date of the 512MB 7800GTX 550mhz core with 1750mhz memory.

Expect a cost of £400 - which works out a bit more the the X1800XT non-crossfire, but will be available from the usual suspects from stock on that date.

Interesting?

nuhh i havent bought it yet, my bday is on the 8th, would need it by the 11th, so i can build it on the weekend. So x1800xl, for now on my ultra-d. Going for the 24 inch dell, now to unhijak the thread. Card looks awesome, would love it

why not just wait? no offense, but buying a lesser card cos you cant wait a few days is just dumb.....why not buy a really cheap card to tide you over for like a week.....

i ran a radeon7000 32mb for a month whilst I waited for the x800pro's to originally come out..

I agree, 3 days is hardly a wait. The time will just fly by

I could come later if you want one of these (and I can see why you might).

Yeah these babies look truly awesome and are sure to keep the Red Machine at bay from the top of the ORB for some months to come - especially as the ORB has not updated to accept X1800 series cards, nor do they have FM approved drivers for the x1800 yet (so no immediate hall of fame entries either).

The 7800GTX series is already catered for on the ORB so the score can just slot right in, unless of course they go over the score limit (like 3dmark03 not accepting scores over 30k)

These cards will be available on launch date - two weeks before xfire master cards are released so it's great news all round, NF4 owners will not have to compromise USB or SATA2 support either.

It's also fair to remind people that crossfire looks like an amazing concept and looks set to deliver one helluva punch when it finally pairs up with the X1800XT.

The world waits with anticipation for Gollums cascade and X1800XT XFIRE scores.

LOL looking forward to it.

I think FM drivers won't be a problem as the 5.11s with X1k series support and OpenGL performance fix in should be out around mid-month and will be FM approved a while before I actually get the cards.

As you said crossfire's performance may turn out to be more important than the cards' performance and I think AFR sounds like the best way to combine 2 cards for optimum frames (and lets face it more importantly hence benchmark scores).

I haven't seen any of these kicking about. Am I to take it you're getting one (I mean 2) asap Mav? If so where from? (If they sell watercooling / cases / phase stuff then PM me). Don't worry I have no intention of buying them.

Although it looks like OcUK have removed their x1800xt mastercards from their site and reduced the price of the 512 xt slave by about £60.

There's no way in hell I'm paying £470 for a £410 single card with no master. Angry phone call heading their way tomorrow.

If you wanna buy em great - sorry to hear that prices have dropped on X1800XT already - I'd cancel and re-order, but thats just me. It's not too late to bottle it and get the 512MB GTX's

Prices - I think if you look at US sites making an absolute killing on em I sure hope they dont do that here. If they use 'normal RRP' ur looking at between £385 and £425 a card hopefully - if not, then who knows?

Only 14hrs to got to find out though.

I can't decide whether to get one or not, I really shouldn't but its tempting...

Do you think its worth upgrading over standard GTX?

Nick like me - you love the hi res etc..... this baby allows HI RES and all the bells and whistles at very playable (generous even) frame rates..... 512MB is almost a given for ultmate eye candy now.

But unless you are like me and need to bust some benchin scores - wait til after xmas mate (they are in short supply) but the price will drop a bit by then.

I,m suprised no one has them on pre order
