Well, I'm joining the green hoard it would seem. My 7800/512 ought to be here either tomorrow or wednesday. If anyone wants a brand spanking new X1800XT at bargain price, drop me a line. :)

I feel, unfortunately for the Red machine - others will follow.

Then onn the other side I am really excited for ya and can't wait to see the results :D

Believe me when I say it was a with a heavy heart that I made the decision. I've always dis-liked Nvidia, but there comes a point when you just have to bite the bullet and re-evaluate previous loyalties. /sniff

What it comes down to ultimately is that the Crossfire boards are a liability, having read some of the horror stories of people frying top notch CPU's on both the Sapphire and the DFI RDX200 at stock settings/voltages. Don't get me wrong the X1800 IS a bloody nice graphics card and is ideal for single card clocking, but it narrows the choice of reliable motherboards if you wanna go dual gpu and I want options.

Jaffa if you already have one 1800 maybe hold out for a little longer for the better revision boards come out or join us on the dark side

True enough Fatty, thing is when will these new revisions surface? could be a week, could be 6 months. I've played the waiting game for too long.

Anyways, I remember Luke Skywalker once said 'I'll never turn to the Dark side' and he was a wuss. ;)

Can someone PM me a link to a site with them in stock, if that isn't allowed, never mind. apologies. Cheers :)

Sorry man, When I ordered mine ********** had 9 of them in stock, 5 minutes later they were all gone. The other usual suspects either didn't have em listed or were on pre-order.

looking at the specs etc of the 512MB 7800 GTX, ATI are gonna get spanked mmmm 512MB 7800 GTX in SLI mode.

Should be fun.:p

Good News, I just got a dispatch email for my TWO 7800GTX 512's, Opteron 150, and DFI SLI-DR. I'm all excited now.

***EDIT*** Arrrrggghhh crap... just remembered I'll need a A64 Waterblock... suggestions?

Aw, you're gonna get some serious results from that setup!

I'm not sure on water blocks, I'd only advise on the Swiftech MCW5002 A64 peltier block :D

are u planning on watercooling the grxs cards? because if not, your gonna have a extremly tight fit which will affect temps of your first card... and most likely OC results

There's a couple of blocks that really are pretty good that spring to mind immediately - the D-Tek LRWW (which is on offer on my Ebay discount store) and the Swiftech Storm G4.

I was planning on leaving them on air untill i get a machII for my cpu, then put the gfx & chipset on water. I don't wanna get the water too hot, as this will affect my cpu o/c.

I've got a triple rad with 3 YS-Techs (125cm) on half blast. will this be enough to cool 2 overclocked GTXs and a overclocked opteron?

Yes it will mate - The rad must be good for 100w of heat (my koolance is 2x1200mm rad and its good for 700w) and those YS TECH pump some air out so you should be good to go.

you might have to give a little but as long as your pump is good enough you should be fine.

How is 120.2 good for 700w of heat? That must mean the adverage pa120.3 is good for over 1000w surely?!
