5 Million race ... again ?

weird, my chrome isn't laggy at all with anything when i'm folding, but as i was saying before firefox is painful...
I was quite suprised when I was folding on my 560Ti, the few things I tried to do wern't laggy at all, which was what I expected from my previous experience folding on a 8800GT.
Now I have to say, as I use a laptop for most day to day use, browsing and what not, I don't have an indepth view on specific issues.
Dependng on the system specs, I'd say unless the computer is being used for encoding or a very CPU limited game, you should bb able to fold on the CPU and pretty much not notice any difference in performance doing 95% of tasks.
Folding on the GPU I would personaly stop while gaming. I know with previous versions you were asking for trouble folding on the GPU and then trying to play a game. It could be different now (someone here will know) but never the less I would still stop the GPU client while playing a game.
Good luck on the race to 5 Million guys. As you all know VoraciousGorak and myself turned the dial to 11. I hope you had as much fun as I did scraping those extra few points from where ever I could find them.

I never game and fold at the same time. I shut down both the CPU and GPU clients when I'm gaming and it's only when I have the GPU client running I encounter lag with google chrome and any flash content. I've not tried other browsers yet and will see how they are. The lag problems only started with the new GPU WU's and I never had this problem with the older WU's.

i just hit 4 million , but the way the ppd keeps jumping around i don't know its gonna be a very close battle

Congrats mrDMxtreme. I've started work again so my PPD average is increasing again and I produced 47K points yesterday and 40k before that, which I'm really happy about. I've also replaced my RAM and CPU cooler, but because of the hot weather the temps don't look like they have improved, but I know they have looking at the delta temps. Also I used as5 so the temps will hopefully improve after the "break-in" period. I replaced the cooler on the 23rd of March so the "break-in" period should pass soon.
As well as replacing my cooler I cleaned my whole rig and temps on the Graphics Card have improved by 10 or so degrees (Celsius) - down from around 87/89 - 77 C, which I'm really happy about. After 3 - 4 months, so much dust gathers in my rig as the area I live in is very dusty (with it being near a main road and lots of trees, grass and dust in the general area). I clean the dust filters every week or so and even that's too long as the dust becomes noticeable after a couple of days.
Anyways I don't think I have a chance of winning this race as my 24h average is lower than yours and nothingspecial's and you two already have more points than me
. Nonetheless it will still be fun to see who reaches the 5 million mark first. And unfortunately I won't have my dedicated F@H rig until after the race so my chances of winning are very slim. Good luck to you both and may the best man win

My PPD is a bit bouncy as well, so I wouldn't worry too much. I can't see any overtakes happening between the three of us, unless something drastic happens...

Yup, I agree. According to the production estimate graph you will overtake mrDMxtreme around the 6 million mark and I will stay consistently behind both of you

haha just wanted to say that this is going to be very very close as there are 3 of us on the way to 5 million, and it seems that the 5million goal is about a week or less apart

my f@h-score till 19th june 2012, he/she gets a beer crate ( á 24x 0.5l ). And because I do not
want to pay, I have to defend my score
The good message is, that there are currently 23 more folders trying to beat the s**t out of my
score (and i hope they do not team up using just one account, because then I really have to use
some of the almighty hardware).

The SMP PPD drops quite significantly if I fold both, so I have now put the 560Ti in another rig at a friend's house. Hopefully it'll get used when I'm not there for a little PPD boost
Edit: Is anyone else having EoC issues? Checked on phone this morning, thought I'd had an overnight crash, but came downstairs and all is fine. No WUs gone up though

My EoC is fine, but what's annoying is that my ppd dropped again
and when I checked the gpu is only at 87%-90% ...... Some of these WU just don't make sense,
