4K Benchmarks

Actuslly i do not remember as i was only a child when those came out lol. But ya everything starts off expensive but a lot of companies overcharge extra and that slows adoption of new tech.

lol, then you should have been there when the VCR fad started. I can remember when a Betamax machine hit $700.00 and my parents thought that was the greatest steal ever.

Later when my aunt owned a video store, we could by movies at cost, and my dad thought it was a great surprise when Indiana Jones ToD was released on VHS, to buy me that for my birthday at $95.00 for a single movie.

haha, your almost making me feel old! lol (I'm 20 btw)

overcharging is nothing new, look at apple products. apple takes a new feature (eg usb, over hd res. (retina display) and the first modern tablets) they overcharge but there are always people that will buy the product.
Then it will soon be mainstream/affordable, as more people produce similar products.

^^^ I'm 17 but i wasn't introduced to much technology until around 2007. Previously the only technological thing my family had at the time was a PS2 and one laptop and TV. So ya i don't have any early knowledge of earlier tech:p but ever since i was 13 1/2 i got into computers and now i'm very tech savvy:P

well we are as a whole flying when it comes to tech just think your smart phone has more computing power than the first few Apollo missions combined lol

similar situation here, i only got into pc's a few years ago.
i started with my family's old pentium 4 office pc, begged to put a gpu into it.
it was the only pc in the house, back in the days of dial up.
oh my things have changed..

this was also placed before driver update. the nvida cards were driven via 2 hdmi 1.4 cables rather then a single display port. So it was running surround which is more abusive then running a single 4k monitor off display port 1.2 . Hexus did a review on the asus pq321q after such the demands of gpu requirement were not as much. you could get away with 2 titans to max out almost every game.. if your playing less demanding games.. a single titan will work or 2 770 4gb. not to mention the new amd cards will be out soon dropping prices of nvidia along with titan ultra and the titan x2 . This will all further make it cheaper. My advice though if you need to run 4k do not waste your money on the sieki or the pq321q . wait for the 39" pz39z by asus its surprisingly a cheaper display as the pixel density etc is less its easier to shove a 4k res into a bigger display. By then All the new card will be out or around the corner . Im doing a 4k build myself i was going to already shoot for it but i decided to wait till next month. Total cost of the build 5500 with the monitor. so keep that in mind its alot of money but if you have it and willing it is a very enjoyable thing. Most are afraid to run a 27 inch 2560 x 1400 because "its to big " lol they have become increasingly cheap. ive seen the asus and dell one for under 500 us dollars. anyway im babblling 4k is the future!
