4.3 or 4.4 what would you choose

So playing around with my overclock again and have noticed a rather large difference in voltages from 4.3 to 4.4.
I can set 4.3GHz @ 1.18V and it runs stable. At 4.4GHz I need to set it to 1.22V to keep it stable. Is this normal behavior for a 4770K? Luck of the draw on the chip? Any thoughts?

4.4ghz at 1.22v sounds fine. You may even scrape 4.5 if you're still using the D14 in your sig.
Im just wondering how much more performance I am going to notice. Other than achieving the "number" I am just curious about the big jump in voltage to achieve the "next step" 1.18-1.22 for 1GHz? does that sound normal? I have tried to get 4.5 out of it and can't get anything stable. I can do 1 and 2 cores at 4.5 and 3 and 4 cores at 4.4 and get it stable at 1.25V. Temps at 4.3@1.18 using OCCT avg. about 54C and 4.4@1.22 avg. 64-66C. I guess the question I am asking does it usually take that much of an increase in voltage to get to the next mark?
Yes I am still using the D14 as well.
