3DMark 2003 Scores: Show It Off!

Ionicle I'd reccomend picking up a new PSU with that DFI LanParty.

Here are the two PSU's that would fit you well for now & the future.

You pick the one, doesn't really matter--but I stand behind Enermax all the way. I have my Enermax powering my system perfectly. My dad has a True Power 430w powering his system perfectly, too. (Though he doesn't have as power-demanding equipment.)

They are both ATX 2.0, and have the 24 Pin ATX power cable. They also both have a 6-Pin PCI-Express video card power connector for a future upgrade.

Antec TRUEPOWERII TPII-430 430W Power Supply - Retail - $65

ENERMAX EG425P-VE SFMA 2.0 420W Power Supply - Retail - $77

Yes, the Enermax is quite alot more, but you definentally get what you pay for in a Power Supply. The Enermax has a lot of neat features like an EMI Ring Core; which 'dramatically' reduces Electromatic Interference given off by the PSU.

It also features a 'smart fan' which lets you control the fan's, within it's own threshold so you cannot overheat the PSU purposly, for any amuzement purposes :rollingla . The 'smart fan' also keeps the PSU fan's on AFTER you shut the pc off, until the air in teh case is below 40ºC!

Good luck man, and happy PSU shopping.

i live in the U.K...

I'll offer you an Antec NeoPower at the end of the month for £60 + P&P. It has all blue UV cables (braided) and is ATX 2.0 compatible and is modular and looks sweet.

I'm getting a PCP&C for £160 (ouch :() :)

Hey FragTek, just made an observation, your graphics card wasn't running at stock core speeds like you thought it was. Take a look:

Fill Rate (Multi-Texturing) 6990.4 MTexels/s

I know that at 425MHz the max theoretical fill rate is 6800 MTexels/s.

Your max theoretical must have been over 7000 MTexels/s which means your card was running fully overclocked, thought I'd clear up ORB's mystery mistake ;)

i just redid the 3dmarks 03 with my g/card oc'ed and i got:

how could you get that on a 9800pro.... i only just scrap past that on a 9800xt which has double clock speeds and mine is overclocked like a mofo and yours isnt?

lol @ lucky. harmonicgen007 are you using the latest drivers?? if not downlaod them from ati's website. and before you install use driver cleaner in safe mode to remove any trace of drivers ;)
