I have 2xBFG8800GTX 0c2 and am wondering if I would gain anything by upgrading to BFG GTX260 896MB OC? I know my power consumption would go down but is that all?

Personally, if my 2x8800 is performing well I`d not bother.
If however 1 of them crapped the bed or I changed to a mobo with no sli, then ofc I`d consider it or a 280.

If your PC's performance is acceptable for you (it would be for me), then I think you should hold your upgrade until Nvidia release the new cards.
I have 2x 8800GTX but why in all that is holy would you change to a GTX260 (rather than GTX280)? You've gotta save so just wait longer. My setup has me at the top rank for 3DMark06 on UKCS and I'm 0.04fps off being 1st in the Counterstrike stress test and that is compared to people who have really good stuff.
SAVE and get the GTX280.

Think nVidia killed the "must have" approach to gfxcard purchasing when they brought out the 8800, and so on.
For me the only "must have" bit of these cards now is memory when perhaps moving from 20" to 24" screens. If u already have 768+, pfft.

Ok to carry on this topic oh and btw hi all \o I have a 8800gtx and am considering adding another to my system and uprating the PSU to 1000w. All in all this would cost me aroudn the 180-200 pound mark. Would i be better off getting another uber card or making use of the sli on my mainboard?
