2x EVGA GTX670 FTW+ 4GB with backplates ... screws too tight???

I'm working on my first watercooling rig, and I'm trying to get the screws out the back of the GPUs ...

... but, they're not budging - AT ALL. I started off being gentle... moved up to being firm but careful, and have now reached ... I've just chewed the head off my screw driver (which did fit the screws snuggly).

I've watched Toms 680 waterblock fitting video ... and this looked A LOT easier.

Any advice, comments or suggestions? Kinda worried I'm going to break something...

I did my 2gb 670 FTW yesterday and the screws came off very easily.

Are you sure the head is lining correctly?
Can you try a bigger screwdriver with the same end to get more grip and leverage?

I used one of those when I did mine. Makes everything a lot easier. Try with one of those before you end up ruining the heads

Do not be a wimp with your cards, they are stronger than you think, but also be careful....

I managed to thread all my screws on my first 480, luckily i brought a correct screw driver, and applied some brutal force to unscrew them again...

Second card was a doddle.

other than the 4-processor screws, the others are basically "self-tapping" plastic
screws. a large-handled driver is best to use, but if not available, steady downward
pressure and pliers on the driver shaft will get you the necessary torque.

I was using a small toolset I bought from PCWorld specifically for PC stuff .... that's got screw drivers like this...

And it's utterly useless. Would not budge a single screw.

I searched around and found a screw driver like the one James posted, and it works perfectly.

Those screwdrivers are very hard to apply a steady torque/pressure, they are more suited for glasses etc
