Wich of these will work better for gaming:

1)Transcend® aXeRam™ DDR3-1800 Gaming RAM Kit - Matched Pair Of 2x 1GB Modules

2) Transcend® aXeRam™ DDR2-1066 Gaming RAM Kit - Matched Pair Of 2x 2GB Modules

the first kit is DDR3 and the second kit is DDR2 so you will have to chose what your motherboard has...

unless you haven't got a motherboard: i'd go for the second kit, it has 4Gb what really comes in handy for games. And also because de difference in ram-speeds isn't really that noticable in games. Or at least not worth the higher price of DDR3.

From what I have heard, a much faster speed and lower capacity works better, becuase most applications dont use the space.

But for the price, and slight difference, I would go for 4GB DDR2 if you have a 64bit version of your operating system. If not, then definitely get the DDR3.

Without knowing what type of motherboard and what games you are intending to use it on it is difficult to make a recommendation.

Assuming you are using a Intel socket 775 system, I would go for 4GB of DDR-2 800MHz unless you are planning to overclock.
