I am currently running the gtx 750 1gb model on my 2560x1080 wide screen monitor and for most parts for the games I play its been ok since I play older tittles or I turn down the resolution to 1080p

I was thinking of the gtx 960 but unsure if I should get the 2gb or the 4gb model

When it comes to gaming yes I will buy big tittles such as gta 5 and fallout 4 but I'm not to fussed how it looks just as long as it runs smoothly, I very very rarely play online

Rest of my specs are
I3 skylake 6320 at 3.9ghz
12gb of ddr3 ram
ssd

Thanks for any info

Based on what I'm using, a GTX770 2gb so basically a tiny bit slower 960, I'd say get a 4gb version. I can definitely feel some restrictions based on my 2gb. GTA V for example feels really unresponsive with textures on very high or even high. Fallout is similar.

I'd think it would be better to just stick with the 2GB model if the 4GB is a significant premium. The 960 is a rather weak card tbh.

I think a 970 would be a better option for top titles at that resolution, the 960 is great for 1920x1080 at medium settings.

I run 2 GTX950's and in GTA V it scales perfectly with 2GB x2 at 1080p (very high settings), I had a GTX750ti 2Gb before these and compared with a single 950 there is little to no difference, first i would say 4GB is the number to aim for secondly if you can stretch to it go for the 970.
