Hello guys, I'm in the middle of a dilemma.
Im about to buy a new card and I crash against this wall... What would be better, two 280x TOXIC or 780ti DCII ?
The price is about the same in my country. Currently im gaming on 1080p.
Thanks!

Why not go for a 290 in crossfire? Its not that much more for 2(in the US at least) if you are looking for the absolute best performance than a 780ti and budget is not an issue. Will also perform much better and allow you to run 1440p in the future very well.

Although at 1080p a single 280x is still very capable.

For 1080 i would seriously recommend a 780ti because that card is more then enough for that resolution and 1 card is less heat, power consumption and no microstutter issues or waiting for crossfire profile updates.

Nothings perfect. Xfire issues are not present(they are just not bad/noticeable) unless playing older DX9 games. DX10/11 it does fine.

If your planning on eyefinity (3 screen gaming) in the future definitely go with the 780 ti or even 290/gtx 780 as the 280x's are like the 7970's and drop every second frame in eyefinity when combined with crossfire which is terrible for performance (you basically get the performance of one card while showing on fraps/benchmarks the performance of two).
For 1080p this is not an issue though as its fixed and runs pretty well.
I had two 7970's which are the same cards and in eyefinity, the only benefit of the second card in eyefinity mode was looks, all it seemed to do was generate more heat.
I've just got rid of both of mine in favour of a 290x (got a 290x as got it for 400 euro which is a 290 price and it came with a custom 100 euro cooler, definitely wouldn't pay retail price for one)

Always go for one better card over two worse cards. Obviously SLI or Crossfire never doubles the performance. Now, two 280 cards may be a good option, but in a few years would you rather upgrade to 3 280's or 2 780ti's? The latter would be my choice. ;)

AMD beats nvidia in multi screen setups. Though with the newest drivers i have not heard any problem with eyefinity.
Amd has not fixed its crossfire/eyefinity driver like they fixed the 1080 or 1440p drivers yet. It wont be fixed until at least february. It doesnt have the same problems on 290 and 290x's though
