I'm leaning towards the asus or samsung being that there response time are both 2m/s as apose to the lg being 5m/s. The samsung also has a built in hdtv tuner, not a bad option.

Cheers guys

2 - 5ms wouldn't make a big difference either way. As long as the experience with it is pleasing to your eyes, then which ever one you decide to choose will be great. It's always good to have a look at demo units at a retail store so you can decide better the one you'd want.

From those choices, I'd definitely choose the Samsung. I agree with dugdiamond, the Iiyama 27" looks very nice.

A 5ms response time will do you for 200 fps, I'd suggest you turn up the graphics if you are getting that high! I think <5ms is unnecessary.

Contrast and brightness depend on where you use it. 5mil:1 and 250 are fine unless you have a really bright room, then go for 10mil:1 and 300. Youll just hurt your eyes using lots of contrast and brightness in a dark room

Id think that you probably wont notice the difference between the LG and samsung unless its really bright so i'd pick it on other features or design.

Check the hazro ips 27 incher. I got the glass panel one and i love the crap out of it. Games wonderfully. Colours blow you face off. And a price that is practically theft. If you are smart when and where you get it from. Its like a cheap apple cinema display without the webcam or thunderbolt

looks like a decent monitor! Although I don't know how well a glass screen would be suited to me because I would have it fairly close to a big window in the day time, desk lamp reflections in the night. How do you find it in this case?

Purchased the Samsung today. Thanks for your opinions and help guys, appreciate it. I also picked up a pair of audioengine 5+'s

Hey guys. I'm weighing up between these 3 for my next monitor, I'm sure there all fairly good but just wanting some opinions.

As far as I've seen the LG has a built in HD T.V tuner, not a bad feature.

Cheers.

to be honest id go for the samsung the picture quality is out of this world.
