If you like the looks the Asus Sabertooth P67 is meant to be just about the best gaming board for its price. If you are going descrete gpu & ssd then Z68 won't really be of any benefit to you. People around here love the Corsair AX series - I have the 850 and it is so quiet its untrue. The most recommended coolers are the Noctua NH-D14, Thermalright Silver Arrow & recently the Corsair H100 got the thumbs up. A 2500K runs pretty cool and you can get away with the Dark Rock Pro or Advanced - although the mounting mechanism is more fiddly.

If you are sold on the looks of the Phantom - its an OK case but there are better for the price. If you are going for quiet the Fractal Design R3 is the case of choice. If you are going for maximum cooling and possible WC in the future then the HAF 932 Advanced (black interior) or HAF X are solid choices. There is also the Corsair 600T and if you prefer a more agressive look there is the Silverstone Raven RV03, which is meant to be about the best air cooling case for the money.

The ASUS XONAR cards are meant to be very good as well.

where are you getting these components from because i could slice of atleast £130 of this build if you buy it from somewhere else oh and all in 1 liquid cooling = crapola and i have heard bad things about the cm psu line so get a corsair ax850w

looks an awesome rig.

i would swap a few things over, but this is my personal opinion

Western Digital HDDs - Replace with Samsung Spinpoint F3 - nice quiet drives..

OCZ Vertex - Replace with Mushkin Chronos or Corsair Force GT, im not a fan of OCZ, had a bad experience with them

Coolermaster - Replace with Corsair Ax850 - Fully modular and the fan is near silent.

and just coz i like the board - swap the asus mobo out for the Gigabyte z68/p67 ud4, then get black vengeance ram to match, but only coz i like the board

other than that, looks like its shaping up to be a gaming beast. 5gb of Video memory is massive

Thanks for the heads up guys, you have given me lots to consider, also sorry for the tardy reply have been working and well that is just plain rude, work, its a very bad word.

I will defiantly change the PSU to the Ax850 I will bow to all of your advice there, as for the case I have be honest it’s for aesthetics only I have an Antec 1200 at the moment great case but the filter cleaning is a pain, I did consider the HAF X in the beginning and will probably get one now, as for the MBO I have to agree with Sheroo the sabertooth is a better board, as for the drives I have always used western digital and found them bullet proof had a few other brads over the years and they have failed me, I will look in to the Samsung drives though, water cooling noted though thx for the heads up.

I sourced all of the parts from overclockers; I have found them to be reliable so if anyone has any other suppliers to recommend I will go have a look.

Thanks again guys.
