2700K + Maximus V Extreme

I'm having a difficult time getting this stable at 4.6... So far I need 1.4v and LLC at Ultra high to be stable at 4.6 on my specific 2700K with Corsair Vengeance LP memory running at 1866 9-10-9-27 1T

Bad lottery on the chip :/ I cant have gotten a bad board I assume? I mean, I'm pretty sure 1.4v for 4.6 on a 2700K is a bit high, I'm hoping I just have been unlucky and got a bad oc'ing chip

H100 with Scythe Gentle Typhoon 1850RPM's in a CM Trooper, I know my way around, H100 is plenty for 4.6 and my temps are well within the comfort zone, so im guessing I have been unlucky and got a chip which is crappy for high OCs :< Just looking for confirmation, I havent been able to find many other people who need 1.4 for 4.6 especially not on a board of this caliber.. But I guess lightning can strike at the wrong place and my board cant make up for a bad chip

Have you tried putting the memory to 1600mhz, or even 1333mhz while doing the cpu OC. That could potentially be a problem

yes it passes intel burntest but crash on prime95 blend after 5-6hours

Can you not just leave it at 4.5ghz then? (assuming you're stable at that)

You'll see no difference in performance
