2600x or 2700?

Looking at a rebuild, moving to AMD. Decided on most things but torn between the Ryzen 5 2600x and the Ryzen 7 2700. Rig is used for gaming mostly, nothing more taxing than that. What would you guys recommend?

2700x is where i would go, because it isn't that much more expensive then the 2700, it runs faster out the box and it can hold higher boosts clocks better because of it slightly higher TDP.


To me the 2700 doesn't make a lot of sense.
