250D water cooled question

I can get my hands on a new 250D for 50 euros and I was thinking of going a custom loop but I have a few questions.

How good and is the EK-SBAY DDC 3.2 PWM pump/res? Its a single slot version. As it is so tight packed then this could be a option - also later then I could all ways use the pump by it self in future builds.

With the optical drive mounted (with the possible Ek bay res) then could I fit a 120mm rad in then front as well? As I would like to at least have a 240 rad and a 120mm rad for the cpu and gpu.

ok, I haven't seen that case in real life but I think that if you keep the 5.25 bay for the reservoir you can do 120mm on the side, and 120 in the front. Again I don't have any experience with the case..

You can fit that bay combo in the 250D and still have a 240 and 120 "fat" rad in there. But you need to get the case first and then get the right parts to it ;)

"Managed to find a case about €15 below retail but will it be possible to fit ~€100 of radiators in it and this pump and lots of other expensive watercooling gear" I mean I love the idea of a tiny watercooled ITX rig but justifying it with a fractional and comparatively insignificant saving on a case is pretty funny.

Sometimes it just has to fit! I will say though going with a bay res in a 250D is a little dissapointing not only as it disrupts the elegant front but it will intrude quite significantly inside the case and spoil the spectacle a little. When I was planning a 250D loop I figured you could just about stick a DCP pump/res combo where the drive bays are. I'm always excited to see 250D loops as I was so close to attempting one.

Having a 250D myself currently, but will get another case I'm not fully satisfied with it... I get your idea here and as far as I can see, it can/will work, however it might be a extremely tight fit. Due to the rad usually having a bit of a slight "bump" on the top or bottom.

Although I have removed the 5.25" completely to get more room to work in and I have a 140 fan in the front with quite plenty of space inbetween the 5.25 and the fan.

So I think it might work for you :)

hahaha yeah - I guess the *saving money* and water cooling does not go togeather in the same paragraph ;)

I was just excited that I could get a small case where I might be able to put some cool water cooling gear..

And as of the bay res then I might have found my answer - and a better one in my opinion.....

ONLY thing is that I am using the xspc water block and I need to find out if the same small res can fit under the gpu as in the above pic as it seems the space is hair tight.

Could anyone with a 780 EK waterblock measure what height it is in the position?

*edit*

Also a top view of one of the cases:

looks like you could fit a small ddc pump top with a THIN 120 rad - but I would like to go for a thicker rad if poss...

^ This the mobo looks like it's going under #Bendgate

Also, the only way you could fit something like a monsta in the front is using the bay reservoir

If I had the money I would accept that challenge. There are far more options than the obvious, it's actually a big case on the quiet and a bay res is never the 'only' way to go.
