20pin to 24pin adapter?????

Easy enough, I have a PCP&C 510 SLI. The Vapo XE Chillcontrol power adapter is a 20 pin on both sides. What's the easiest remedy for this? Should I just go straight from the PSU 24pin to the motherboard connector? Or should I mod the Chillcontrol adapter and put a 24pin male&female on it? Thoughts, suggestions?

You can get em I believe from e-tailors or flee-bay - you just have to snoop around I am afraid.

Most new PSU's gome with the adaptor complete.

Okay, how about this. How do I hook up my 400watt Enermax psu to the vapochill externally and then keep my PCP&C hooked up straight to the motherboard? Basically use the enermax as an external psu.

That should work i think, though im a bit rusty on the 12V CC.

LoL, it was more of a question of HOW do I do this? Not, rather, WILL this work.

I'm a bit rusty on this, but bear with me if i get it wrong.

Hook the Enermax up to the Vapochill and the CC, install a switch (for setup you can just use a paperclip or something) to turn it on it's own, and then install the other PSU so that it is just like a normal air setup, and then i think the Vapochill and the CC should work, and you can turn on the system once the Vapochill is down to temp.

That's what I tried Master_G, but when I start up the enermax/vapo it stays on for a second or two, then shuts down. :?

Have you tried putting something else like a HDD on that PSU to have some draw on the other lines (some PSUs dont like power draw from only one line)

Does the CC give an error code?

Tried it and burnt out my CC :-(. Time to spend an azzload of $ to get another one

I just modded one of these 24pin plugs so that my IMon, and dual PSU would work together - I just took out the relevent pins, and added the additional wires, then pushed them back in place - it works a treat

Yay, my new CC will be in tomorrow. I got a whole kit for molex and atx pin removal. I'll just new/neat wires from my psu straight to the mobo!! :-D

I got it all worked out, but I'm getting rid of the XE anyway for a Mach 1 and Lian Li PC-71 case.
