2015 Gaming desk finally complete!

Neither did I mate. I actually got the idea from Feronix (so cred to him for it) and I just bought a can of blue Plastidip and then painted the bracket I got from their support
That looks actually really sweet mate! So i can just call corsair support and ask for a new bracket? Tell em that mines bent or something? :D

No, thats being dishonest. Also we have a Corsair rep on these forums who does outstanding work helping the community. However just ask them if they have a spare, or purchase one from them. It won't be expensive.

Yeah, don't lie mate. Corsair do supply the mounting kit http://www.corsair.com/se-fi/hydro-...-lga-1155-1156-1366-2011-mounting-bracket-kit

As you can see, the SKU is CW-8960010, and if you Google that you might come up with something (I did find an Amazon one but they sold it for $30 just because they can). Alternatively, you can message Grey_Beard and ask if they have a spare, or if you can buy it directly from them.

However, if you use plasti-dip, the paint creates a rubber coating that you can pull off in case you need to send the unit back. So then you really wouldn't need an extra bracket at all. In fact, if you just prep the paint work correctly you don't need a spare.

I'd also say get metallic red to match the Vengeance Pro heatsinks.

Oh ok i didn't know you could buy them seperately.. But anyway i was thinking the same thing Feronix.. I already have one so why bother getting a second? Anything special to prep the bracket? And where did you find the metallic look? I've been searching a bit but only found matte red.. Do you maybe have a dutch website where you got it from? I'm from Belgium so.. :D awesome work on your build btw! Love all the little details you're putting into it! It's gonne be awesome when it's done! :)

EDIT:
Just checked and there's a shop here in belgium that sells the whole bracket witch screws and stands for €13 so i could just order it from there i want to. Though i'll probably would just paint the one that's on there now.. :) Think i'm gonna wait till i'm going to reapply thermal paste though.. :D

Mine is matte white. I don't think glossy plasti-dip actually exists due to the rubber coating but you can use regular paint as well. You can spray a metalizer over top of it, but it'll get a bit expensive so I'd say just get a can of Metallic red at your local paint shop for like a fiver.

Prep depends on the paint used. With plasti-dip you'll want to just clean it very thoroughly while with normal spray paint it's best to sand to surface down a bit first, with very fine sanding paper :)

I got mine from

Thanks a lot for the info. Don't suppose you could get a proper shot of the desk itself could you? It's just easier to work out sizes when you see it in real world use.

cheers for that, turns out its a bit too big for the space we would have avilable, which is a shame as thats a really nice desk actually, i think im going to have to make one from scratch, using bits and bobs of other furniture and a table top etc so it fits the 80cm roughly gap we have.

I just mentioned getting another one since you said you had never modded before and neither had I. So instead of risking it, I just asked for another one, so if I mess that one up, I still have the original in spare, in case of needing to send it back or whatever.

I just like to keep myself as "safe" as possible, in case something would happen etc.

Just a tip though, thought behind why getting a second one. But go for it, to use the one you want like Feronix.
