@ hippie i had a 9500 zalman a few years back installing it i cut my hands on the fins just wasnt made well enough or someone didnt put it in the deburrer long enough.. and well as soon as i went to thermalright i never looked back i have a True black edition i also have a noctua d14

The CNPS12X was an exception though, lovely looking cooler, just a shame it didn't perform as well as it looked.

[offtop mode on] You see, it's common amongst ppl who own zalman think that way- I wish it could perform for the money it costs and looks. The most rubbish coolers I ever seen. The fans that are worse and even louder than cheap noname Chinese ones. [offtop mode off]

This was run with the help of a little -2C air blowing in the window.

Arctic Silver 5 was used and fans were set to low/silent mode. I'm guessing the room temps were 15-17C, and dropping.

Also, some credit has to go to the massive plate Asus put on the back of my HD 6870. I'm sure temps would be 3-5C higher across the board without it.

Whats there not to like ?

Do you use a pen or paint to "touch up" where you have cut? What size rivets do you use when you put it back together?

i love the mod on the case tom quick question though with the metal still slightly on the bottom of the cage wont it be tricky fitting the barbs for the rad? or would you do what i would do and fit them before reriveting? also cant wait to see what you do with the window etc

how to solve a problem like maria no optical drive....

people who have entered this competition, probably, already have a PC

so,

connect the two PCs together via ethernet, bluetooth or whatever, and share the optical drive from your old PC (and give full access rights)

simples
