2 x 6950 or 2 x gtx 560 Ti

I'm going to build my first system and I'm wanting to get the best I can for my money and I'm wondering what would be better between 2 x 6950's and 2 x gtx 560's. 2 x gtx 570's is out of the question because it costs another £80 more than a gtx 560 and I know that 2 x gtx 570's are immense.

So far I'm thinking 2 gtx 560's would be better because how it handles tesselation, physx etc. But I'm not sure.

Thanks

I would prefer 2x 6950, Powercolor as a pcs++ version already with the 6970 bios (no hack). Or you could unlock the shaders in your bios and then overclock the card to 6970 clocks (it's safer that using the 6970 bios hack, because you'll be using your own bios and not 6970's).

BUT the 560 is cheaper and has physx... if those are your major concerns, go with the 560.

Oh, and the 560 is much smaller than the 6950, you should consider that too.

I would go with the 560 if I was you. The 560 do like the bang for the buck card at the moment. They will run cooler, quieter and use less power than those AMD cards.

The 6950 are now about the same price. They have twice the frame buffer so they crush the 560 ti in high texture detail, high resolution with xxAA. this is especially true in CF or SLI.

i can't believe nobody asked him what res he's gaming at before suggesting nvidia all the time

then again, most people on here recently appear to be huge fans of nvidia

in almost every gfx card thread i've looked at on here recently, everyone is always suggesting nvidia before asking questions...

sometimes even suggesting that people return their new purchases in order to get an nv card

22" monitor at 1920x1080 is what I should be running it so a gtx 560's 1gb of memory should be fine but probably wouldn't if I went above that resolution.

I read somewhere that the 560 uses more power and the 6950 gets hotter. I'd stick to x2 6950. But if your a gamer then power isn't a big problem eh?

Well so far I'm only a console gamer and a casual pc gamer with the lower spec games because right now I'm running a p4 3.4Ghz and a agp 3650 so not too good lol.

i recommend the 560's mostly because I recently jumped ship from AMD. There is nothing wrong with the cards, but i feel that the drivers are seriously lacking. always had trouble with my ATI drivers and when I slapped the Nvidia card in there, problems cured.
