different models of nvidia chips don't work together as SLI. the f@h can be processed on the primary GPU's and the 460's could run as memory buffers, i think. you need 4 pcie slots, they wont fit in the motherboard memory slots

If he can fit all 4 GPUs and heat isn't a concern, each card will independently fold. SLI isn't used at all for folding.

When you say when you run it with one card, is the other card fully taken out with and so not connected to PSU? As it seems like Power Overload to me.

I've got 2 580s (1KW btw), love them haven't got NFS:HP unfortunately but that game is known for it's blockyness and having 2 of the best single GPUs isn't going to change that.

Tbh you wasted your money buying 2 580s in the first place, absolutely no need unless your planning to max out resource hungry games in 3D.

Dual 580 F@H should give you 33.5k PPD at stock btw

. And you will be needing either one hell of a PSU or 2x750W PSUs to run 2x580 and 2x480 in the same system.

hmmm funny u say that coz i played undercover and it looks mint, hp it looks crap, and i was dreaming haven all my cards in one rig, and i only paid for one 580

my 850ax takes them both fine

aah thats cool. i see tesla(nvidia tesla card)works like your description

sources95 is that picture NFS:HP? The picture on EVGA's SLI enhancement patch page

if you've used that system the past couple of days, how's it been?

Tom wrote like summin could be broken. i dont have the answer. it's like lego. did you download a virus? av u tried Microsoft Security Essentials?

no. have you got even the Nvidia driver for your cards? Nvidia makes and releases better driver software reguarly to make their technology work properly and for new software. the drivers are available free at the Nvidia website. it should be installed at the default path that the nvidia driver installer quotes, i think. you can save the download in my documents, where it's easily accesible, open it, run the installer and it'll install the driver.

When you click to download the file from Nvidia, either select RUN for it to install the driver, or, select SAVE and it'll save the driver installer at your chosen space, i use documents, then run the saved file to install the driver.

I haven't used the EVGA SLI enhancement patch. It will (should) install at the Nvidia driver file automatically because it's modifying the file. I wonder that you haven't run the EVGA installer and so you've only downloaded it. Open the EVGA file and run the setup/installer thingy. make sure you've got the supported Nvidia driver installed first.

r u using the new BETA internet explorer? it's strange.

your motherboard manufacturer's website should have the latest chip-set drivers, check it.

be careful with downloading stuff from random, dodgy websites cause they could install random, dodgy stuff that'll make yore computer random and dodgy

ive installed it and nothing...unless I have installed it in the wrong folder?...i have it in my documents is that right?

Why would you condemn your computer to a thing such as a "repair shop" where a couple of "chaps" with beards "mend" stuff after a couple of pints in their system I have no idea.

could be the PSU tbh

the AX series of PSUs are known for being pretty pants (well more than other corsair PSUs)

it does sound like you are not getting enough power to the cards

have you got all the right connectors plugged in properly?

have you tried plugging in the extra molex (i think cant remember if it is EVGA or ASUS boards that have molex connectors)connectors on the motherboard that provide more power to the PCI-E slots?

have you tried the cards in different PCI-E slots

failing that like tom said something is broken which i am putting down to either the board or PSU

your screen is HD. erm
laugh.gif
is the game resolution setting matching? it looks a lower res setting. or the car is tiny like a micro-machine. theres gota be(ok i looked more, there aint more than 1) more than 1 screen pixel between those jaggies, or your usin a cinema screen

dirt 2 was about 3 quid on steam. check it cause thay might put it on sale again. you want quality, it has it

my monitor is a samsung bx2450 full hd led theres not one higher the 1920 x 1080

hi. is your game setting matching. erm your pictures are at a higher resolution

ok what size, is it 30 inch, 24 inch

any progress on the SLI patch. has the computer been working the past few days, how has it been?

blimey. i zoomed the pic and you have it set right. i can see your monitor pixel

ah coz I took them on my phone but if u click on em u can see the jaggered lines dunno why they are there, and yes i have set it to 1080p in the game, my monitor is a 24 inch no progress on the patch doesnt seem to do anything, and if go onto my other thread the hole systems is screwed

jaggered lines will always be visible on todays monitors. it can be hidden with anti-aliasing and someone wrote that NFS:HP game doesn't use anti-aliasing.

you can use the nvidia control pannel to make anti-aliasing work. it should/might work for NFS:HP, if it doesn't work turn it off cause the card might waste your time processing it still. if the game doesn't use V Sync turn that on too, at the nvidia control pannel and check all the other 3d options. Nvidia hasn't released a driver since that game released.
