1GHz on 5850

Well finally managed to coax my XFX 5850 to 1000MHz core clock.

Unfortunately it's as stable as a granny with jelly legs but was pleased to make the 1GHz club. (If that qualifys!)

Might have another tweak after the football see how far I can go stable.

Yeah will be starting the upgrade process very soon and full watercooling will be in that

I had my 6950's ripping threw BF3 @ 1GHz on water of course !

I've had my 4890 at 1GHz, but i guess that doesn't really count since almost every single 4890 made it 1Ghz

Would I be right saying that 5850's are great overclockers? I have mine at 875 on the core and 1200 on the memory and I still get temps under 55c most of the time

They do seem very flexable in terms of OC. Yeah mine was peaking at 70c at the same clocks but my case temps arnt great currently.

I have the Powercolor Pcs+ version and the cooler on it is just amazing

Powercolor cards always seem to come with pretty darn good coolers actually!
