Well sorry I didn't relise it was a bad card, if I knew that I wouldn't have posted it

Don't think they were moaning at you mate... Just moaning at EVGA for sticking 1GB of RAM on a low spec card. There is no way that card can utilize that RAM properly.

pah.. the 9400gt would commit suicide if you so much as mentioned DX10 to it..

Tbh, its a rediculous card :(

I could run my 8400GS with DX10.

I don't know why this couldn't.

yeah... 640x480...

And.. is that on the highest settings where you actually need Dx10?

When you choose DX10 mode you have to have it on High minimum. With Very and Ultra High being the next options.

I have a POV Geforce 9400 GT 1gb, and I play Far Cry 2 on medium Settings (Textures Ultra high, real tree ultra high, shadows low) and a resolution of 1024 x 768 and I get an average fps of 31

Dead Space 1024 x 768 MAX SETTINGS!!!! 30 fps, and I mean it!! Dead Space has a fantastic engine!!

I also played crysis on 800 x 600 with med high settings (like shaders on medium, Post processing High, and nothing at low) I get 35 to 40 fps and with lots of action going on I get 24 to 28 FPS, and that's not bad cause the game is very playable from 20 fps.

so for it's price, I say the Geforce 9400 GT is a great card, cause you know that not everyone can handle the price of Geforce 9800 GTX or any high end card...

Take me for example, I always like to spend money on games more than my hardware.

it's useless to spend money on Hardware when you don't have money left for games :D

The 1gb is still a total waste though, and the resolutions you are running justify the settings...

The card does indeed have it's place in the desktop/multimedia arena - and that's fair enough.

How on earth they imagine 1G can be +vely used for what it's traditionally used for, I don't know.

so what! I can't afford a Geforce 9800 GT or higher and I love to play games :p

anyway I have 14" monitor that can't display more than 1024 x 768 and I'm happy with it, so for the time being the card is doing a great job for me

and the 1 gb has its use, I can set the textures at very high for any game, textures demands Video Ram, and that what the card has, and it's not shared...

Ur being happy with it IS the most important thing at the end of the day.

As far as loading the textures go tho, they wouldn't dent much of that 1g tbh.
