1440p Korean monitors opinions needed

You can be assured that i have read up on these Korean Panels for a good while now, ever since my current monitor started behaving badly.

I have very carefully read their policy and feedback, there have been no negative or neutral reviews for their pixel perfect panels and have easily the best feedback i have seen on ebay.

This model is a samsung panel from AccessoriesWhole on ebay, the panel i am looking at is here

Ah nice. Yeah it's good that they're guaranteeing absolutely nothing's wrong. Could it be the ones which have fallen through the gaps? I bought two of these for $350 AUD each ~ 188 Pounds

Here are my three QNIX QX2710 Display Port Models. No bad pixels found and I didn't bother to buy the perfect pixel models. I just figured it was a gimmick to get more money and sure enough in my experience. I put them on a stand as the stands are not very good.

First two where from Accessorieswhole on eBay and arrived the next day in Wisconsin. The third I bought a couple of weeks later on Amazon due to a gift card I had. That one took 2 days.

It doe sound like a grab at your wallet for being pixel perfect. But they look very good on that stand :)

I was tempted to get the Qnix but the Dell Ultrasharp 27" 1440P was on offer and knowing my luck with shipping I opted for the Dell ^_^

My Qnix arrived yesterday no dead pixels seems excellent! Packaging was primo to say the least Very pleased!!

For testing properly for dead pixels and backlight bleed try this site out;
http://jasonfarrell.com/misc/deadpixeltest.php

It will allow you to cycle through several screen colours, all black, green, red, blue etc. sometimes pixels are only bad for certain colours.

And out of curiosity did you read my review before buying your monitor? I know you used the same seller as i recommended.

Get some pics up :)

A lot of people forget that most of the monitors in the world come from Korea as they have some of the best factories on the planet.

I bet at the factory where they make the panels for LG/Apple etc... at the end of the year they have spares and the meeting goes something like this -

"Ok we can get rid of this surplus stock by changing the frame and giving them an obscure name, Ideas anyone ?"

Employee - "Knock off"

Employer - "Nope"

Employee - "Jack off"

Employer - "Your fired"

Employee - "Qnix"

Employer - "Ok your re-hired"

I wonder if a branded LG, Samsung or similar brand monitor and a Qnix were torn apart, just how similar underneath they would be.

But DiceHunter, you are genius with your replies, always kept laughing :D

I seem to remember a while back an American site had a Korean Ebay bought panel and an Apple cinema display, They dismantled both of them and the panels could of been twins, Giggidy.

When I worked at an Apple store in Berlin *It's ok I dropped a lot of stock on purpose, You can put the voodoo dolls away* I read about these panels and confronted the area manager that came in one day, The conversation went something like this -

"Hey you with the face and the suit I need to talk to you." *I dont like bosses *

"Yes how may I help you"

"Why is this panel more expensive than this one when they come from the same factory and the only difference is the plastic casing and at most the firmware ?"

His response was priceless "Errm well you see errrr errrr ohh ooohh ohhhh well"

He looked like a man with fully body tourettes who just consumed 10 rounds of espresso and red bull after I asked him that.

Needless to say I did not last long there ^_^

How do u think i confirmed no dead pixels? And no i did not read your reveiw sorry. Got most my info from a different site

Also from all my research a Qnix is a sammy display with a different frame!

They're made in the same factory. Only difference is the quality control and any extra features such as HDMI, DP support as well as DVI-D etc.
