im looking for info on what size fans i should use in my new build case. i need to find fans for the chassis aswell a rad which is going to be a hardware labs black ice GT xtreme 360 with a fin count of 20 fins per inch and that uses 120mm fans but up open to size on case.

id go for performance over noise if needed

If you want really high performance, then I would recommend cooler master Excalibur fans. Mind they are really loud, and not cheap.

Just look for cf in fan description, this is the measure of air flow, I always go for 60+

What case do you have?

i have a coolermaster haf 932 at this time but i will be building a custom case/building it in to my pc desk

i was told the cfm numbers were made higher than they really are to try to sell them or sell more

i was told by a friend to try gentle typhoon fans anyone got any ideas of how good they are?

The be quiet! Silent Wing fans are great performers as well as being very silent. Not everybody likes the colour of Noctua, so one can't go wrong with the be quiet! fans. The Cougar fans seem to be pretty good as well.

ill have a look into it thanks

i like the colour theme of the noctua fans altho they may not look right in my black, white and blue theme build

Cm sickleflows are good for high pressure and high airflow. They come with green, red and blue leds, but you may want a fancontroller. They are a little loud at 2000rpm.
