Ok, so now that I have my shimian IPS panel 2560x1440p I can honestly say, that it is quite breathtaking. The colors and images just pop out at you. I will Never go back to a TN or tft panel. 120hz or not. It is gorgeous.

I'm really close to ordering a BenQ XL2420TX 120hz 3D monitor to run on my new Haswell/GTX780 box but I'm still unresolved about going for an Asus PB278Q 2560x1440 display. 90% of the time I play BF3 and I'm worried that moving from 1080p to 1440p will see an FPS drop that will annoy me. My rig right now never drops below 60fps (on my 60fps monitor of course). I'm not sure I need the extra few inches of screen real-estate inherent in the 1440p monitor.
Decisions, decisions - more pixels/lower FPS or same pixels higher FPS????
What bout the Asus monitors?
- Asus VG27AH
- 27"
- 1080p
- IPS monitor
- 2D - 3D conversion hotkey
- 1920 x 1080
- Response time: 5MS
- Full HD 1080p
- ASUS VG278HE
- 27"
- 144 Hz
- 1920 x 1080
- Response time: 2MS
- Full HD 1080p
I'm actually deciding for myself:/ I'm not interested in 3D, though i'd like to have the option. I'd prefer a giant 27" monitor over a 24"![]()
