1 Rad

Is 1 radiator with a 150 CFM fan enough to cool a 3GHz Q9650 OCed to 4GHz, and if it is, can the chipset run on the same loop. I intend to run dual loop with the graphics card on their own loop.

Thermochill PA120 :)

Im guessing the fan you had in mind was a delta or something? It would be incredibly loud.

I was just going for the most optimized cooling, nothing is set in stone but I was looking at a Scythe Ultra.

If you dont mind spending a little more, i would go with :

http://www.tekheads.co.uk/s/product?product=608206

I have 7 of this in my setup!!! ( 3 for the rad, 4 for antec 900 )

They are silent (14db ) at the same time pushing 72cfm of air!

Also, i would second Thermochill PA120!

Gd luck

that is a lot of money for a single fan,the standard fans in the 900 push 60 cfm anyway

Sorry but I REALLY don't beleive those fan specs.

Send one over to SilentPC or somewhere similar and get them to do some proper testing on them!

EDIT: quick search on the net:

http://www.silentpcreview.com/article739-page3.html

Quote from the article:

1- A SilenX spokesman was caught shilling his product by carrying on a conversation with himself on SPCR's forums, reregistering himself several times after his fraudulent activities were exposed by SPCR staff.

2- SilenX' specifications are notoriously exaggerated, especially where noise is concerned.

Thanks to widespread distribution and aggressive marketing (see point 2.), SilenX fans have a reputation for being quiet — but not on SPCR

3- For a very long time, in part because of point 1., SPCR had never "officially" reviewed a SilenX product.

Seems like they lie about their specs im afraid, bet that was the best £150 you've spent in your life...

...that is if you actually paid for the 7 you are using?

:p

Ohum well google ads paid for them :D but still, i could have spent that on something much better ( seems so stupid now!!! ) .. to be honest i am very happy with the fans however i do wish i would have gone for normal £5 fans and just used my fan controller to turn them way down when i want the PC quiet ...

I am, building and sellings PCs off every day anyway so it wont be much problem for me to change / sell this overtime and make some of the money back!

How are this fans:

Edit: Thanks for the time you spent to search for this info!
