I get 8000 PPD on my 5850 and it takes 2000 off the CPU. So it is worth it if you have the V7 (UPDATED) client.

Hmmm my stock 5870 can pull 8.5k+ & my stock X6 1055t pulls 10k+ with the right wu the same as my gtx460, so hardly a waste of time.

But my favoured folding partnership will always be Intel & Nvidia.

Hey Ray, how ya doin? ive never bothered to overclock the 5870 & i cant do with the X6 because if you can remember i fold on trade warehouse Dell's...& people say Dell's are unrealiable i beg to differ well if im honest ive had one faulty unit in 5yrs so.

I can kinda predict it (PPD) no worries...

but good to hear Amd/Ati is up to a nice PPD as well now i can look a tad further the normal (purchase fah stuff)

Folding on V7 now and pulling 13k PPD from my 1090 and as for the 5870s I have no point data in the client yet but is taking around 6 hours per unit

thanks guys, will see about overclocking, and will break out the coolit eco alc I was given for christmas, but never got round to fitting anyways, cheers again!
