If you get a BSOD on an OC or underclock then it's unstable and volts should be lowered/raise till stabiltity happens.
In the Bios what have you left on auto?
For reference, M&P on this forum has done a guide. While it is Ivy Bridge, just go down to the terminology part and read up on a few of them to see if they aid you in temps.
