Quick News

Took this screenshot of Nvidia's official (Danish) page. The green button normally would say something like "køb nu" / "Buy Now". But the button now says "Væk nu" that means "Gone now" :-D

That was just too funny not to share. I suppose someone has a bit of humor at Nvidia HQ.

I like the extreme bench but the lower end one is over in the blink of an eye lol

low end 80,000 extreme 34,000 just stock.

the extreme one reminded me of 3dmark vantage bench but it looks good for what it's doing :)

Remember folks, this is the Quick News thread. Somebody needs to make a new 3DMARK thread for this.

You can now try out Nvidia's Marbles RTX demo through Nvidia Omniverse, You have to download their Omniverse launcher and sign in using your Nvidia account, Same as your GFE account, But the launcher is a small download, The Marbles download is just over 3GB.

Be warned even though the system reqs are ok, It is VERY demanding.

Not exactly computer related, but it's still cool nonetheless
https://interestingengineering.com/new-magnet-free-electric-motor-needs-no-maintenance

German company has developed an electric motor that doesn't require any magnets which also removes the need for Rare Earth Metals, of which 90% of that is supplied by China, thus reducing the need to rely on them and being better for the environment. Which EV cars still need to work on despite popular belief.

This new design is cheaper and more reliable with no moving parts since it requires induction powered coils. 95% efficiency with room for improvement as different speeds can achieve higher efficiency. Pretty neat engineering from the Germans!

AMD's FSR finally being released this month and it is very impressive, As a surprise they said that FSR will be compatible even with competitor cards going all the way back to the GTX 1060, Really impressive move from AMD.
