Palit 660ti Issue - Please Help

Hi, my friend has had an issue with his new graphics card. This is his entire rig:

ASRock Z77 Extreme4 Z77 144,90€
Thermaltake Overseer RX-I - Big Tower 99,90€
Intel Core i7 3770K 286,49€
ASUS VS248H 61 cm (24") 196,90€
Samsung 840 Pro Series 128GB 126,90€
be quiet Pure Power CM BQT 78,49€
Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 1000GB 64,85€
Scythe Mugen 3 Rev. B 36,49€
Kingston 8GB KIT 40,90€
palit geforce 660ti

He says that his pc just wont boot when he installs his graphics card. He has sent the card back and plans to get a new one but i would just like to know what the problem may be so we can get him a working gpu faster. Please let me know if you have a similar problem below and if you know how to fix it/how to avoid it.

Thanks from us both,

Kev

It could be the card or you just have to set in the bios which display adapter you want to boot from... Internal or PCI-E.
