Zune HD Finally Sees Light of Day

Thats what ebays for

altho ima pick up a Gears of War or halo zune from my local cex( noticed them hidden away on top shelf) at weekend as my 80 gig ipod classic dissapeared, the zune hd is more or less the same so i couldnt care to much tbh

how well do you think this can compete with the iTouch? The specs look decent enough, they just need to get the hype going...

If some1 can remind me around november time and can transfer me the cash at the time, I can bring them back one.

Don't think it'll be on ur minds then tho.

Looks pretty slick imo. Anything that doesn't require iTunes or ActiveSync has something going for it already.

I'll pay if I want. :p Any news on pricing?

Hybrid Digital Radio is different from DAB : it's a low-bitrate compressed digital stream hidden in the analog FM (or AM/MW) signal around the 100kHz region, and only found in USA.

It's useless for everyone as the signal is lost when there's noise on the analog FM signal, and the sound quality is not as good anyways because the stream is highly compressed. It's only good for two things: stations attracting listeners because they have that new "HD" thing, and iBiquity Corp. making money with the license fees on HD Radio receivers.

A friend of mine has the 80gb Zune.

As it stands it is a very good player, but that is also only officially supported in the U.S., which is a shame. The Zune software wants to be the default player for everything and as my friend does not have a computer I used to put all his music and video on it for him. I no longer do that because the software causes chaos on my desktop rig!

A great shame really because if Microshaft gave their Zune products proper European support I believe they could easily be an IPod beater!
