Zalman Z11 Plus

Will the Zalman Z11 Plus be a decent home/gaming pc case? I need something with plenty of cooling options and fits in a smallish area, i currently have a standard size midi case in the place where i would put it and also i'd like to know any pros and cons for this case?

The main cons that struck me were the lack of filters on the side intakes, unremovable HDD cages, and the USB3.0 are just connections to the back I/O. Not terribly bad points, but should be considered. Also probably not a bad choice at the price - lots of stock cooling and such. Definitely consider the Bitfenix Shinobi too - it might set you back a little more (only because of additional fan cost), but it's recommended time and time again.

Thanks for the reply, does that mean I won't be able to use the usb 3 on the front panel then? Because i've got a usb 3.0 header on the motherboard but on on the I/O Panel? I'm going to have a look at the shinobi now

Just noticed one problem with the shinobi, Its not sold on aria.co.uk and thats the only place that i am able to buy from (Not my card that i'm using and owner will only use it on aria) other than that the shinobi is a brilliant case! I'd love to have that case

It means you would have to loop the front panel usb 3 connector round to the back of your case and plug it into one of the usb 3 ports on the back, there are cables you can buy that will convert it so you can use the header though.

Ah, that is kind of a problem. Shame. But that's odd, since Aria used to stock Shinobi I think. In terms of Aria stock, the only ones I know more about off the top of my head are the Raider and Fractal R3. Both pretty nice cases (I have a damaged Raider at hand, and I'd have loved it if it didn't have to be returned). I looked at the Zalman too a while ago, and tbh I wasn't crazy about the looks or the lack of fan filters so I didn't read much further, but specs-wise it looks pretty capable.

I would ask if you email Aria when their next shipments will be. We're busy trying to restock everyone's shelves.

Hmm the Z11 looks like it uses the same Z9 chassis but with different plastic bezels and side panels, the Z9's airflow isn't that good at all, I fear more tat on the outside is gonna constrict it further :S
