Got some "new" RAM sticks for my i3 rig, as I am selling the others for buying more RAM for my main i7 rig.
Had these sticks laying around, as they are 1.65v, and not too safe to run with SB or IB IMO. But, the i3 motherboard supported downvolting the RAM, so I decided to put them in there.
Not really much new hardware, but it's it for now.
Thought i'd treat myself Gonna replace the 5870 in my X6 rig, it will also be the sole points provider from it as well as i'm going to stop folding on the X6 as the Power / PPD ratio is rubbish as it only gives back 9-11k ppd these days

Well its up & running, currently pulling around 19-20k on a 7660wu & pulling the same amount of total system power as when the X6 was folding by itself which was 200watts (both together and its 300watts)
One thing i did find odd was it maybe a stock reference card with a stock clocks of 980mhz-1502mhz-1033mhz boost but according to gpu-z sensors its boosting to 1097mhz.
One downside to a reference card is heat, on auto fan the poor thing was hitting 79c  so whacked the fan to 60% and now its sitting under 70c, i used to think paying more for a dual fan version was worth it but why pay £20+ more to get a cooler card when you can simply adjust the fan  (stuff the noise as i just turn the stereo up)
