YODEL formally HDNL. (now part of DHL replacing their domestic services)

last week I bought A corsair 650D case and 850AX power supply from dabs.co.uk after some annoyance when the bank for no apparent reason (even the guy i phoned up from the bank didn't know why) blocked my payment the first time, the items were finally dispatched from dabs.

That's were yodel come in the first thing that happened is that when i missed the delivery the sorry you were out card was completley blank, the courier hadn't bothered to fill it in at all. But thats not the thing that has really annoyed me.

After that I arranged a redelivery for yesterday, friday the 8th of july, for both of the items i bought and received confermation email straight away:

Thank you for your request for re-delivery of your parcel. Please find below confirmation of your request:

(the package details)

The re-delivery will take place at the same address on the requested day.

Special Instructions:

If you would like to change any of these details, please re-submit a new request via http://redelivery.yodel.co.uk. Subject to the new details of your request, Yodel will endeavour to fulfil this.

Your local Yodel Service Centre will contact you if required.

Our standard delivery times are Monday to Friday between 09:00 and 17:30

Neither of the packages came on friday and I was at home all day, there was no card saying I missed delivery and no contact at all to inform me that it wouldn't be coming, worst of all when I checked the tracking information, the items hadn't even been attempted to be taken. this has left me fuming.

I have contacted them to tell them this and am awaiting a message back. I would seriously warn you against using this courier to either send or receive goods, it seems unprofessional and lazy.

This has also put me off from buying from dabs.co.uk as this is the courier they use.

Mate you want to try Parcel to Go there rip off merchants.

1) Sent 4 very heavy very large parcels to ST Via parcel2go.com (TNT)

2) 3 Arrived

3) Contacted Parcel2go.com , got a replay back please email us full details.

4) replied and got undeliverable email.

5) Used there support service via web page and they said i have to make a full account so i did. They then requested a Picture of the contents, of the box on the out side, of the invoice, of the signature ..... WTF

6) luckily i had all of that and replayed. Got no response.

7) looked around there site for a telephone number, there wasn't one, Found one on the web, it was closed down and managed to find 15 more and eventually found a working one (which no doubt will close down again soon).

8) Phoned them up to be told that they had damaged the parcel and had thrown the contents in the Bin --- Erm oky did i give them permission to do that? no, did they ever ask me? no, who the hell do they think they are.

9) Asked for a full refund and a claim to get the costs back ... they refused.

10) Asked to speak to a manger they refused.

It cost me £55.79 to send parcels , the parcel missing is worth £75.00 and there is nothing i can do. Trading standards wont do any thing. So im going to put in a small claim though the courts for not only the full amount of both + the cost of the claim + the cost of my time and the amount it will cost me to produce the order again....

DO NOT USE PARCEL2GO.COM - If thing go wrong you are screwed.

I've used Parcel2Go many times before and have had no problems. But surely if a package gets damaged it should be covered by the courior (TNT) as it says at the bottom of the order page, "this parcel will be covered for upto £50 if you would like to cover it for the full amount then it will cost you___".

yes it supposed to be covered but try getting them to do it is another thing. I checked my account today (this morning) and they have closed it off now ... Hence this is why im going to court with them. there assholes and all is oky till they mess up.

Hmm, I ordered an AX850, HDD and a Card Reader from Dabs, was with the free delivery option, came two days after I ordered it.

Was through DHL though, maybe that's why.

Someone sent me something through Parcel2go via Hermes, at first I was a bit worried because I have heard some bad stuff about Hermes but it was sent with there £4.50 within 5 days service, collected on a Wednesday and was delivered 09:50 Saturday morning.

I don't know of any other delivery company that deliver on a Saturday for a £4.50 within 5 days delivery service.

Well luckily I mailed dabs and they had a word with the company so hopefully I will be getting it all tommorrow.

i had a problem with Yodel too, i ordered a phone of Carphone warehouse website. They tried to deliver it but i wasn't at home so they left a card. But unfortunately the card was not fully filled in, the only information i had was the tracking number. I called them and no one picked up, on the 5th try i got through. I explained the situation and the lady gave me the number of the driver to rearrange a delivery so i called him and got the parcel delivered the same day as he was in my area.

All i say is that they need to make sure they fill out everything on the card

Biggest issue I have with YODEL is their friggin vans. WTeF is it with the colors ??

All couriors suck to a certain degree imo. If I was every going to be terminally ill or something, my roof-top sniping escapade would probably be a courior hunt.

They may NOT have let me have my insurance back but F U Parcel2go Pay PAL gave me it back ... hahah .. Suckers lets just see what the court has to say now as this will go as evidence as well against them.

So to any one who get ripped off by parcel2go just put in a pay pal claim and you will win and eventually they will lose the right to use paypal ... teach them a lesson for ripping people off ...

Its more than that , they threw a full case of 12 x 1 Ltr bottles of pre Mix rrp of £8.00 = £96.00 in the bin. how ever in small claims court ill get that back plus costs, + re doing it all again and delivery.

So basic because they decided with out my permission to throw my gear in the bin and not give me my claim in insurance back which would have only been £50 its now going to cost them £300+.

I did warn them several times in emails and Live chat if they didn't refund me not only would i do a paypal claim against them i would all so take them to small claims court and publish it all over the net.

I don't disappoint

...

p.s The funds were deposited back in my account today so paypal have done it really quickly and checking the claim Parcel2go didn't even put up a fight.

they are what is know as a in between company. They arrange pick up and delivery with say TNT and then if things go wrong they supposed to get compensation back how ever this time they tried ripping me off so i fought them instead.

Ressurecting an old topic, but I thought people might like to know that Yodel are still just about the worst courier company I've ever had the misfortune of using.

My mom bought a hamper from boots (a month or so ago), used Yodel to deliver it, The hamper included breakable items (mugs, glass) and the delivery guys...dropped it over our 6ft gate onto the concrete below. None of our neighbors were asked to see if they could hold onto the package

I bought a Motherboard from Amazon who also use Yodel and, once again, they Drop it over our 6ft gate onto the concrete. They ignore common sense, the fact that it says "FRAGILE" on the box and the fact that it weighed quite a bit and, once again, did not attempt to give the parcel to any neighbors.

A friend of mine used yodel who actually had yodel lie to them! They claimed to have attempted to deliver a package, which they hadn't as my friend had been in all day and there was no "Attempted delivery" card (filled out or otherwise) and told her to go to their warehouse to collect the item. Upon arriving at the warehouse it turns out she'd been told the wrong one, so she asked if yodel could just redeliver. But now it turns out that yodel "Doesn't deliver to central london". Absurd.

On a review site I saw yodel had over a thousand negative reviews, with only 2% of reviewers recommending others use yodel; Condoms fail as often as Yodel succeed.

ive had problem with yodel twice now.

the first time was with an order from sports direct: - the order was sent out next day (checking the tracking number showed it was out on the van for delivery that day). when it had not turned up by 4:30pm i called them up and asked what time it was going to get here and was told between 5 and 6pm but these times come and went and nothing but by this time its to late to contact them as the office is shut i checked the tracking number later that night and it said that at 5:45pm they tried to drop it off and that a calling card was left (no calling card was left throw my door). first thing at 8:30am i call the office and ask what was going on and they tried to tell me that the driver was at mine at the time above (100% with out fail). i then explained to them that at the time they had stated there was three people in the house and no one had called to deliver anything at that time. she then went and spoke to the drive and came backing saying that teh time had been posted wrong and that it was infact 5:15pm that he called to which i replied there was still three people at home at that time of day and no one called.

by the way they changed the time that the driver called etc i was pretty sure at this point that the driver did not try to drop off the parcel and infact gave up for the night and just told the office he had tried to drop it off but no one was in

same issue when i ordered my printer. which i needed im a hurry to print out some A3 drawings for work and yodel yet again failed to do what they say.

if they had of told me the truth when i called up that the driver had given up for the night and did not make it, the driver did not feel well and went home etc i would have been ok with it and been more understanding but to be lied to was just uncalled for in my book

When I last had a delivery from yodel they managed to deliver it to the wrong adress four streets away. Luckily the people living at the house (who were out when it was delivered) rang us up by looking for my phone number in the 'book.
It was also left outside. In the rain. Good job Yodel.10/10, seven stars out of five. GG. Good thing amazon played the good guys and refunded my *soggy* inwin case.

Nice to see I'm not the only one.
