Which set of fans would be better for an RX360 radiator, my theme is green and will be using only three.

The Yate Loon's are 1/2 the price of the GT's and are LED fans, not just plain boring grey...

Yeah, definietly the Typhoons, they have a higher static pressure also a higher CFM. If you had the Yates on low there would be hardly any CFM but because the GTs have a higher CFM you could have them on low and they would still be pushing a decent amount of air.

Not for radiators though, because the air flow is already reduced because of the restriction of the fins on the radiator, plus they have a lower static pressure so the air isn't being pushed through as much which would reduce the CFM lower still. The GTs though have a high static pressure and even on low can push a decent amount of air whilst still being quiet.

The Yates would be good for a case fan but not so good for a fan on a radiator. Basically you want fans with a high CFM and a high static pressure and the lowest DB you can find. Just remember when you put the fans on the rad the CFM will be lowered slightly because of the restriction of the air flow so having a higher CFM to start with will help and a high static pressure to push the air will help also.

You know you could also buy several different fans and combine the parts you want for a custom look all your own.

So still the Gentle Typhoons? What speed? I am not sure whether to buy a fan controller or not?

AP-15s are pretty much the standard; at 1850rpm they have a nice balance of air flow and noise. Some people get AP-29s, 30s or more. They push a ton of air but at the expense of more noise. I would definitely get a fan controller-you will be glad you did; you can crank the fans to OC or game or whatever and turn em down when you aren't. If you have a ton of fans, and you want to hook multiples up to one channel (one knob on the controller) look with something with good wattage on each channel. Lamptron makes good stuff--frozencpu.com is where I shop alot for that stuff.

The only negatives I can say about the typhoons is price and that mine tend to whine a bit when undervolted, but they are pleasant sounding at 1200ish and up^^ That being said, I have four atm and am getting more for a new build.

10W per channel is not alot if you want to hook 6 GT AP-15 to one channel, for example. It's doable cause I think six AP-15s draw about 1W per fan (.083A x 12V) so that's 6W per channel which is stretching it in my novice opinion. The amperage of the GTs sounds low when compared to other fans (Yate Loons state something like over 3 times the amperage but whatever I always like to err on the safe side.

In my experience the flashy slick looking stuff isn't always the best quality but that's just my opinion.

Check out My link

for a high wattage touch screen controller. the lamptron stuff also had beefy heat sinks which makes me feel safer. only reason i'm a lamptron fans is that Ive had good experience with the FC5 which is also a great choice.

I live in Australia so it is very hard for me to find good parts, so I will be getting most of my watercooling from Special Tech

I am also using 3 GT's on the rad, and possibly the stock RX360 fans as well in push-pull

Also, how about the Deepcool Rockmaster;

Or the Laptron FC4;

Either will work but that deep cool has only 3 channels, not sure if that matters to you.

I will be using it for the 3, possible 6 rad fans, but if I went for 6 there would be 3 on each, then possibly 2 other controllers for the rest of the fans

I may be getting the Raven RV01, RV02-E, or something else...
