XSPC Raystorm - Intel LGA2011

Hi All,

Just wanted I ask whether this kit will allow me to to it to an LGA 2011 bracket? I know it says that it is compatible but does it have the appropriate bracket and mounting tools? I heard that I may need to remove the LGA2011 set up on the MB and to old school and replace it with a 1366 bracket?

You don't need a back plate for 2011, if that's what you mean. The Raystorm just screws into the socket holes out of the box. No need to remove anything from the motherboard, at least on my Rampage IV Gene.

Raystorm should come with a seperate set of fittings to go straight into the 2011's built in plate. Mine went on a piece of cake
