Xsessive

I really liked mine, even before I did all the mods to it. There are two mods that I would recommend though. Remove the mesh from the side panels that dont have fans behind them and cover them with something solid. This seems to help with airflow.

can i ask what rad(s) your using??

Sorry Ruthless... I must have missed your post.

I have a XSPC RS360 in the top and a Black Ice 120 X-Flow on the back.

I have this rig entered in a contest and if anyone would vote for me I would much appreciate it. Lookin like I'm going to need all the votes I can get.

thanks for the reply dude, no problem

what are the temps like, thinkin about going for a similiar set up but with thicker rads and 360+240 instead of 360+120

The temps can get quite warm under load, nothing too extreme CPU around 70-72, GPU around 60. They both idle in the high 30's to low 40's depending on the temp in the room. Compared to the heat they used to produce.... VAST improvement. With thick rads and a 240 in there the temps are most likely to be much lower. I didn't use a thick rad because I would of run into clearance issues with my RAM.

Thanks dug. If I ever get the next project done I have a couple of ideas to add to this one. One thing at a time though. All this overtime for parts is really cutting into my build progress.

Wow, that looks great, well done. I was considering getting a Phantom case, but didn't want to risk not fitting my XL-ATX board

Nice build. I'm trying to deck out my white/red Phantom, but can't figure out how to fit in some water cooling. Now you have given me some ideas, but you have 360 rad with only 5 fans? why not just do a 240 rad, 4 fans? Oh, and Phantom has fan controller for 5 fans, how did you hook up your 9 fans? did you connect some to the MB?

SA prolly used splitters for the fans the phantom as tacky as it may be Can handle 20W on each channel for the fan controller

360MM rad w/ 5 fans is better than a 240

I went with the 360 because I have the CPU, MB, and GPU in one loop. If I could fit another 240mm rad in without sacrificing my hard drive storage I would have one in the bottom of the case. Also I did not go with a thick radiator up top because there is no room, the fans have just enough room to clear the RAM with the thin rad.

The fan controller actually has the ability to control up to 7 fans with the connections that come with it. I have one fan connected to the CPU fan header on the MB and wired in another connection for the top fans.

I think I'm about to do some work on this rig again. I have my current project up to a point where it can hang out playing BF3 and render for a while. Might see if I can pick up another 480 and water block, maybe even a 980 or 990 to toss in it. Of course I would have to redo all the wiring in it as well. I have a pretty good amount of practice with sleeve now and this rig deserves some TLC. Actually, I just need something to do.
