XP or XP64bit for games ?

I have never had XP64bit, but was wondering if any of you have it installed

and if so do you know if its better for games than the normal XP-pro?

my main games are -

Battlefield 2

NFS most wanted

Black and White

and I have the 64 bit patch for FarCry,

so would play that again for definite :wink:

i was running xp64 about two months after it came out, i found the performance hit quite bad between the two with xp32 being a fair bit faster...

i blamed this on an early release of all the drivers so i switched back sharpish...

ive not bothered going back yet because a) i saw no noticable speed increase 2) not all of my older programs ran, alot of command line programs and tweakers and trainers... this really annoyed me and its pointless changing for less functionality

at the end of the day xp64 will probably not give you the super increase in games you might expect until more games are coded specifically for it...

my recommendation: install both, play games on play, run some tests, check it out no harm in messing about, just dont completley desert ol xp32 for a while yet

I will put a hold on XP64bit for now

I was going to buy XP64 from the shop :O

so wont be able to put bother 32bit and 64bit on my pc

as I don't want to give Microsoft any money until its cockon

that goes for the Xbox 360 too
