The project name "Gesher" will become more relevant at a later date and i apologise for the lack of pictures at this stage.
While waiting on the release of the Cosmos II and dual LGA2011 2P, i decided to squeeze in a quick build for Insomnia i44 on November 18th which is probably the only show in the UK that will just about coincide with the release of some new hardware from Intel.
As its less than four weeks away, this one won't be anywhere near as extravagant as the SR-2 Stacker (i'll leave that for the Cosmos II mod) but i don't intend to cut corners on either quality of work or hardware and will be aiming for a clean build with tight hose routing though not so much in the fabrication department due to time restraints but will see how i go and how quick that deadline approaches.
The main objective of this mod is a/ to finish it on schedule and get it to the show on time but more so primarily to showcase some pretty killer hardware to the best of my ability and also to adequately cool that hardware to enable some serious overclocking which apparently it will have in abundance though i'll probably leave that side of things to people that actually know what they are doing and i'll concentrate on getting the overall build complete.
Unfortunately i can't release images or information of board and CPU just yet so please bear with me until the official launch around the 15th November but i can list and show other hardware.
Chassis, i'm going for another Coolermaster ATCs 840 purely because its so simple to mod and for power its the newly released Coolermaster 1300w Silent Pro Hybrid which is fully modular.
I should point out the overall colour scheme is going to be carbon black with electric blue highlights and liquid similar to the Kingston SSD's below, which incidentally Kingston have also stepped up to the mark with a couple of 120GB HyperX SSD's which i'll run in RAID 0.
They have also just released an eight DIMM, 64GB DDR3 memory kit which would fill up all 8 slots nicely but are quite expensive so not sure on that one just yet but we'll see though either way i won't be using MIPs RAM Freezers on this one, opting to show the HyperX branding on the stock heat spreaders.
Admittedly, a strange start to a prod log but seriously, don't blink as this one will be over in a flash
Right enough jibba jabba already - i'm going to get cracking on this 840 so i can get it to powder coat.
