X1900XT-X Results

Hello everyone. This weekend I had the pleasure of benching my new x1900xtx so I thought I'd share the results with you all.

System:

Opteron 146 @ 3.4Ghz - Mach II GT

1GB Mushkin Redlines @ 243mhz 2-2-2-5

ATI Sapphire X1900XT-X @ 729/891 - Stock cooler

DFI Ultra-D

OCZ Powerstream 600w

3dmark01: 38,834

3dmark03: 21,387

3dmark05: 13,017

3dmark06: 5,674

The 01 scores is a little low, but some settings changes is CCC should fix that, +40K is possible. I'll be doing some more runs with improved CCC settings in a few weeks when I return home to my rig.

but you need a 2x cpu in 06 it seems

My single core did seem to struggle a lot with the CPU tests in 06. I may get my hands on a dual core in the future and have another go.

Woah didnt expect those kind of results for 05, especially with the stock cooler, does the stock cooler seem good o would an aftermarket h/s likely improve? Ignoring the likes of water/etc

The stock cooler is not too bad. I had the fan set high though to keep it cool for benching and made an insanely annoying whiring noise, much like a hoover.

An aftermarket cooler I'm sure would provide better cooling for less noise than stock. From what I've heard these are not doing well with increased volts so far, so I'm not sure how much another cooler would improve the clocks. However, I suppose people are just finding their feet with these cards at the moment, so we'll have to see.

I agree that your 05 score is mighty impressive.

01 and 03 should imporve with some tweaking.

06 is dual core friendly but I think the other issue on that test will be the ram divider you are using - 340mhz FSB is awesome on the CPU though.

welcome to the forum m8, very nice scores esp in 05. i wish i was hitting near to that in 03 also sucks not bein able to hit 19000. Also very good score in 06 esp due to only being single core

you gotta love these x1900's just tried my xt it at the same speeds 729/891 worked sweet giving a bit away on core speed @ 2.65ghz but the difference is made up in 06 with the x2

Yeah I can get it upto 2.75ghz on air, not tried it under the mach yet, but im getting a nice new opti 175 today

can any1 here help me please got a dfi crossfire board

1x crossfire card and an x1900xtx card.

got up and running but dont know if my cards r working in crossfire.

working in windows but benches seem very low .

do i need to do anything in software to enable both cards. thx in responce going mental here.

Swap card slots around I think the master has to be one the bottom not the top of the board.

what drivers did u use m8 to get this bloody ting running . wish i staye with nvidia now.
