x1800xt clock probs

Ok so i got this card go it all rigged up on wate and was eagly anticipated to see what she will do in 06, to my point, when everr i run 06 card gpu clocks drop from 600 to 475 randomly??? Any idea's im using teh new 6.1 cats btw and using ati beta 0.25 to clock card (not that it clocks anyway)

*edit* ok found out ati tool was only chnagin 2d clock not 3d, wierd hugh? ANyway goty a new tool called overlocker, that been designed for r520 core and above as i think ati aint quite there yet, although it does alow on teh fly voltage changes

any 1 know how i can keep my new 3d clock all the time with out using the program called overclocker which doesn't minimise to tray?

ok some questions on clocking these things , i know welsh tom and thickbrick has oen of these so maybe they will be of most help, thing is iv not ever owned a ati card so it all new teriotry lol but anyway to my questions:

Firstly how the hell i get ati tool to change my 3d clock and not my 2d ones, the sliders in ati tool only seam to change my 2d clocks or do they change to 3d clock when i open a ffull screen app?

Also what tool if ati tool is no good to clock my card and b able to keep eth clock after a restart?

:S im sure the ati tool changes 3d clocks because im 100% certainmy scores increased with an overclock.. weird!

I use the "overclocker" tool to up the 3d clocks.

Have you flashed it to the XTPE bios? That ups the core volts and clocks it to 700/800 in 3d mode straight away.

I then used overclocker to to raise the core and mem (goes up in 7mhz steps).

Got to 762/891 atm.

Im sure people only use ati tool to up the core volts and mem volts and use the overclocker to up the frequencies. Every time i use ati tool and click detect max core etc it just crashes my pc :s.

So to sum up

flash to xtpe bios

use overclocker for mhz

ati tool for volts (although i havent changed any volts yet)

I've onyl had it a week so i'll let you know if i find anything out worth knowing. its all a little confusing atm

hmm yea ive noticed that ATI tool has locked my PC a few times. Can you link me to this overclocking tool i wanna hit 5000 in 06. Also, do you have the sapphire version of the card?? Because bascially im clocking out at a mere 730/810 which isnt great lol
