I recently tried downloading nlite from www.nliteos.com. I was unable to download the software from any of the provided links. The webiste instructed me to use the "save the link as" menu feature as a possible download detour. When I did this, the filename was "leech" and when i ran it a small command prompt box appeared for a millisecond and disappeared just as fast. I scanned the program with NAV prior to opening it but i have the feel that the program has installed some malicious software on my computer and I can only imagine what it's doing.

Someone please tell me that I tried to download nlite from their offical site (www.nliteos.com) and the file I downloaded is safe!

Hotfixes

I want to add the latest hotfixes into my OS compilation CD. I'm real busy and don't have much time to surf the web looking for the list of the lastest-hotfixes/software-udates that aren't included in SP2. I glanced at the Microsoft security bulletins but I don't htink they have what I'm looking for.

check you IE settings, Temp disable your popup blockers ect. It cannot detect your referer, so it thinks you leeching.

Beware if your using your new slistreamed cd to install on a system with sata drivers, as it wont allow you to copy them of a floppy drive.

How do you integrate drivers if you can't add them into nLite from a floppy?

you can add them into nlite from a floppy, i meant that if you make your slipstreamed xp cd (without adding you sata drivers) then when it comes to pressing F6 on the XP installation, it wont copy the drivers from the floppy. dont ask me why, it just doesnt. (took me 3 bloody days to find that out). I tried intregrating my sata drivers, but they were the VIA ones and therefor needed to do 3 steps.

you should fill out a bug report and submit your experiences to nLite so they can rectify the problem. Don't you agree?

P.S. Thanks for the tip

it might not be a problem with nlite, it might just be how the xp installation works. but im sure many people before me have had the same problem.

Just for info there is another site where you can get windows xp updates along with tweaked windows xp regs all in one package in full or lite or updated version. Nearly each month they release a new version.
