Nah, it was more when it was flipped over. Yeno, looks kinda...yeah. And with the stick?...yeah.
I honestly can't think of any creature that would straight up explode like the ending would suggest.

TBH I was so distracted by the thing the whole cruelty aspect only dawned on me at the very end..
Id agree cant think of a sngle one also someone on another forum said it was for a trailer for a seriously messed up jap horror movie but it doesnt look like a robot to me
but it seems very staged now that I re-watched it the things starts squirting when they both practically have there face in the thing

Seems very cgi to me. ESP considering the perfect aim of the blast and exploding right after they got away from the immediate area
