Im serisly annoyed rite at this moment in time.

My son bought him self the x360 magazine and i just had a read of it.

The last 4 pages are just full of telephone no's and pic's of 1/2 nakid women advertise porn.

Why the hell can my son at the age of 12 get this stuff.

Who can i complain to about this as i am really not happy about this and think its disgusting.

Important question is, why has he got an xbox? :p

I am not sure who you could write to, maybe the publisher of the magazine itself? http://www.futureplc.com/future/contacts.jsp?ref=8 is the publisher from what I can gather.

at 12 years old on its not that bad,? growing lad they get sex education at the age of 11 so that shud be no problem:)

found the press commission .. think that will do im looking through what the rules are but apparently advertising is not covered at all. seems like they can get away with it ...

at 12 years old hes not 16 and if i would like him to read porn at that age i would let him.

as a caring parent i am here to protect my child from what i may consider arguably ignorant and discussting material that puts women in a worse light

the only thing really is 2 things:

Your a parent...like many parents you want to protect your child/children...understandable, id be the same

Most companies will simply say...get with the times...porns everywhere...look at some of the adverts on tv...

Personally..i remember an advert with naked babies on it and loads of fountains...i found that offensive and slightly crude...but we have to let things slide dude...lets it go over your head...

at the end of the day...if your child wants to see it...he only has to look as far as any magazine, newspaper or google..its the pityful world we live in..

I see your point and im with you...but nothing can be done...

*decides against the redtube banners*

But seriously, I'm with you on this one mayhem. There's a time and place for those kind of ads and its at the back of FHM etc. Not in something that young, impressionable minds will be reading.

I can only imagine that a certain mag publisher is really finding it hard at the moment and has turned to the one industry that has ALWAYS got money to spend...

wish that industry would have some moral grounds though.Mind you for them it will be catch them young.

Well i did the rite thing i ripped them out and gave him the mag back. Hes only missing one review ....

The funny thing is my lass said to me when she walked in my computer room "you buying porn" when she saw the pics in my bin.

Well she probably was a bit confused why you was using your sock drawer as the bin ;)

The ad guys will have gone, our target audience is males aged 16 -25 for eg. Therefore they must be after chat lines.

Plus as mentioned above the adult entertainment business spends a fair bit in advertising and the mag will be glad of the cash.

Your solution is fair enough, the last review was probably naff anyway.

Anything on the front of the magazine about parental guidance or age recommendations ? Been ages since I opened a gaming magazine since the 'net.

I do think that those adds are wrong for a young user base but at the end of the day if he wants to see that kinda stuff he can very easily online.

I dont agree with smut but nudity - meh

I haven't looked in TheScum paper for a while, but apart from the obvious page3, aren't there double spreads of smut lines towards the back ?

Oky if its every were why is it not in the beno ..... Lads mags are different. and no its not every were at all. just because down south you allowed to advertise Escorts and sexual favours for money in the free mag's doesn't mean they do up in the north east. Yup i even noticed that when i lived down there. We dont get rubbish like that in our normal free rags.

this mag is x360 mag . didn't have any. So if they can do it why not this one.

nice to see some have some sense of being.
