hey peeps,i got my gainward 460 gs today and all i can say is wow,the card itself is tiny i mean tiny its even small than a 5770 lol.

the temps are awsome aswell, they seem realy cool cards idle around 30-33c,load can vary alot but its never higher that 70c

hear is my overclock so far (see attachments)

also i canchange the voltage, but as there is no info on the max voltage or safe voltage i will be leaving it as it is,some people have hit 820-850 on the core with stock volts.

the only gripe i have is the shader is locked to the core, and the shader clock slider moves faster up than the core,i am not sure if it will cause some issues.

overall i am a happy chap :)

Nice! PICTURES? :D

there are pictures fella in the thumbnails

and yer man these things rock,i need some one else to get one so i can look at the voltages as mine seem low i no the giga ones have over 1mv stock.

to be honest the asus 1gb will be shizz hot so you are right to wait fella, then you get 2 of them that will be epic

EDIT-i seem to have found my max OC ATM,as until i find out how to unlink the shader this is as high as i can get.

also thats the highest voltage i can use,900mhz is not stable but i think that is due to the shader IMO

as its a new card, there is nada info on them seperatly,so i cant find no info on the core/shader lock

that voltage tho is the max i can get to the slider jumps back to that voltage,i think thats the case with all the cards except MSI and ASUS

but if there is a fix for the lock i bet i can hit 1ghz :)

i have just had another look and i found a evga forum and they said that all the 400 series cards have the core and shader linked.

thats abit of a bummer TBH as even with that voltage i can not get 900mhz stable (in heaven) i have not tried gaming on it 880mhz seems fine tho

yeah man that was stated on all the reviews that they were linked its kinda annoying for us folders are shaders are more important but usually u can hike them up without much bother uppin the core to get more heat but the DirectCu cooler asus does looks like its gonna be a doosie even with a 900+ core

935mhz was the highest clock i saw i think it was with 1.065mv but that was stabe, maybe i have reached my max OC then :(,i have tried 900 at 1.087mv but not stable, dam shaders

o well 91fps max from 74fps in heaven cant be to bad lol

yer its game stable aswell now

my gf played sims 3 for 3hrs lol

i played empire for about 2hrs and they were fine

i just wanted 900 on the core lol

us and our overclocking eh wanting more and more ha ha

hope to get mines asap as soon as i have £170 ill just buy one then when i get another £170 ill get another one and ill prob end up payin for next day delivery!

Yeah I know but I was talking about pictures of the card itself, for example a picture (or video :)) of it in action. :D

Oh and AMDFTW? I ENVY YOU! xD

oryt sorry fella,i will pop some up tomoro they might be abit crappy mind.

yer i no this overclocking lark is daft,i am gna have a play with the volts tomoro, but untill more info on the card comes out and people on other forums post stuff ile stick to this

@step,so are you goin for a asus 768mb version?

if the 1gb top's aint out by the time i get cash then it looks like that will be the case but ill be mainly using them to fold and im not sure about 1gb will make much difference even tho its got faster 256bit memory over 192

Just get the 1GB version if you can. If you can't, the 768MB ones will probably suffice :)
